- Make a Difference Engineering (MADE at TU) researches, designs, builds, and delivers custom devices and environments to help people with developmental disabilities.
- Engineers Without Borders (TU Chapter) is working with residents of Machacamarca, Bolivia, to design and build a sustainable waste management system.
- Third Floor Design is a TU student-operated graphic design agency in the School of Art. It does pro-bono work for non-profit arts and social service agencies.
- Global Scholars Program members take on questions of global magnitude, including population growth, advanced technologies, and resources management. Their study includes group travel abroad.
- Presidential Leaders Fellows are a select group of freshmen who enroll in a seminar course focusing on solving complex community/social problems while developing personal leadership and team skills.
- Studio Blue is a creative lab in Helmerich Hall (Collins College of Business), used for project team meetings, brainstorming, and focus-group exercises, and also assists classes with hands-on projects benefiting nonprofit and for-profit organizations in the local community.
- Day of Innovation is an annual daylong showcase of TU student projects that benefit the campus and/or Tulsa community. The gathering includes a high school pitch competition, guest speakers, and an awards banquet.
- Love’s Entrepreneur’s Cup is a statewide collegiate business plan competition that simulates the process of researching a market, writing a business plan and making a presentation to potential investors. Interdisciplinary teams from TU have won many times in recent years, including 2020. The competition is managed by i2E Inc. and underwritten by Love’s Travel Stops & Country Stores and other sponsors.
- TEDxUtulsa is a one-day event that brings people together each year to share a TED-like experience, with presentations, lectures and performances. The 2020 program will feature topics including public education, work/life balance and the uses of corporate data.
- TITAN The Institute of Trauma, Adversity and Injustice promotes social justice and reduces trauma and adversity through interdisciplinary research, education and service.
