Massachusetts passes ‘right to repair’ law to open up car data

“Right to repair” advocates experienced a “win” in Massachusetts following the November election. “Voters approved a measure requiring car manufacturers to let people access vehicle data for repair”. This movement has gained traction in Europe; future regulations may follow across the US.

Pornographic “Deepfake Ecosystem” on Telegram Uncovered by Sensity

Deepfakes continue to pervade media outlets. A recent report from Sensity, a cyber firm, “revealed that a pornographic ‘deepfake ecosystem’ has spread across the messaging app Telegram.” Several US states have passed laws and regulations governing deepfakes, but the “synthetic media” is largely unregulated. It is plausible that increased regulation of this media-type will be necessary.
